Responsibilities

Have broad ownership over community policies affecting the trust and reliability of Airbnb, especially in fraud space

Guide policy operationalization efforts in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across the business including Product, Operations, Trust, Finance, Public Policy, Legal, and Communications

Foster, build, and maintain relationships with leadership of internal business verticals

Use data, research, and insights to evaluate and revise policies as needed

Required

10-15 years experience in a Policy, Legal, or Trust and Safety role that included prior leadership on fraud issues in an international environment

Exceptional writing abilities

Ability to explain and simplify complex information to others

A track record of strong leadership and an ability to independently manage a portfolio of challenging issues

Strong cross-functional problem solving capabilities

Demonstrated capacity for critical thinking, research, and analysis; strong attention to detail

Thoughtful business judgment and strategic thinking

An ability to work well under pressure and work independently

Experience handling Trust and Safety issues at scale, with particular expertise and technical skill in the fraud space

Excellent communicator with exceptional writing skills

Experience working with business and product teams to understand their strategic objectives and to deliver policy solutions that enable business goals

Adept presenter, with experience engaging with all levels of leadership, including senior executive audiences and C-Suite

Principled and rigorous, and incorporate diverse perspectives in pursuit of the best decisions and outcomes possible

Experience at developing and implementing policies and measuring their effectiveness

Team player who thrives in a fast-moving environment and brings a strategic mindset to your work
