Responsibilities
Scan for, identify and help proactively manage emerging issues that have the potential of negatively affecting EF’s and EAF’s brand and reputation and suggest actions to reduce organizational risk.
Support Senior Director, Corporate Communications, in responding to media and other requests and deadlines in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain organizational style guidelines, visual identity guide, and templates for internal and external documents, presentations, and other corporate materials.
In collaboration with leadership, SP and Program, and EAF colleagues, lead on the technical aspects of sending funder-related communications including Partner Updates, Program Updates and other communications products, via MailChimp or other mediums.
Utilize understanding of the legal distinctions between 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) organizations when editing communications, documents and presentations.
Manage EF’s social media content development and posts. Manage existing social media vendors.
Manage EF website, including drafting and adding staff bios, adding/deleting staff photos, posting grantee stories and blogs, and other website content as needed. Provide guidance to internal teams on the creation of microsites.
In collaboration with EAF staff, assist with management of EAF website.
Curate and internally promote EF Photo Library.
Create business cards for new staff when requested. Arrange for professional headshots for new staff and board members including identifying vendors in various locations.
Lead on all aspects of planning, writing, and execution of The Spark, EF’s internal staff e-newsletter.
Provide writing/editing support across the organization (job descriptions, email messages to all staff, presentation materials, fundraising communications, etc.), and serve as editor-at-large.
Support the creation of materials for funder and Board of Directors meetings and presentations.
Together with the Senior Director, Corporate Communications, provide orientation to all incoming staff to clarify communications roles and maintain consistency across the organization.
Lead the public speaker training program.
Support production of fundraising collateral as needed.
In collaboration with Senior Director, Corporate Communications, create/implement/maintain systems to respond to requests received from internal and external stakeholders (e.g., forms for speaking engagement requests for staff, processes for logo requests, etc.)
Take EF Board meeting minutes.
Qualification

Required
Experience in communications, public relations and/or media relations.
Outstanding writing, editing, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Experience with traditional and new media, including how to monitor and apply analytics.
Knowledge of climate and clean energy issues is desired; experience in brand and issues/crisis management is a plus.
Experience with various social media platforms.
Preferred
Graphic design experience is a plus along with collaboration with external agency support.
