Responsibilities
Oversee greenfield energy storage projects, including managing schedules, budgets, and external consultants.
Coordinate with finance teams to maintain pro-forma financial models and ensure compliance with financing requirements.
Secure revenue contracts with utilities and other offtakers while supporting project diligence during financing.
Evaluate regional energy markets to identify opportunities for utility-scale energy storage.
Analyze utility IRP filings, regulatory proceedings, capacity additions/retirements, and market energy trends.
Collaborate with commercial teams to shape regional go-to-market strategies.
Maintain and strengthen relationships with energy storage service buyers, including utilities, co-ops, municipalities, and power marketers.
Respond to RFP solicitations in partnership with finance, construction, and commercial groups.
Lead evaluation, diligence, and transactions for acquisition opportunities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Required
Bachelor’s degree required
5-7 years of experience in the power and utilities sector, preferably with renewable energy or energy storage
Demonstrated success in greenfield project development, including site selection, site control, interconnection, permitting, and financial modeling
Strong knowledge of wholesale power markets and energy project economics
Proficiency in quantitative analysis and financial modeling
Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities with urgency
Collaborative, team-oriented, and curious with a commitment to problem-solving
Preferred
MBA or advanced degree preferred
