Responsibilities
Oversee the creation of a flexible, data-driven Scout Distribution and Allocation strategy, translating scheduled production totals to a profit-optimized forward-looking plan including model mix, accessories and geographic distribution.
Create and manage regional and/or market-level inventory targets including quantities, model mix, trim and option mix, and color. Use these dynamic targets as a basis for informing and filling any available production slots not scheduled for customer orders.
Establish a repeatable and scalable allocation methodology by which Scout vehicles can be efficiently assigned and distributed from the factory to inventory storage sites, retail locations, and partner operations hubs in preparation for retail sale.
Beyond distribution for retail sale, create and implement a distribution process that contemplates and appropriately accounts for corporate vehicles, loaner vehicles, and fleet vehicles.
Create and actively manage vehicle orders for the Traveler and Terra models that are aligned with the Scout sales plan in all necessary systems.
Support and help to drive the setup of the processes and systems necessary to create and manage Scout vehicle orders.
Support Scout Accessories by ensuring that the necessary steps are taken to facilitate adding accessories to orders and identifying opportunities to increase accessory sales.
Manage ongoing day-to-day issues affecting vehicle orders and accommodation of customer requests through tight coordination with Production Steering, Vehicle Logistics, and Inside Sales.
Together with Scout Sales Planning, actively communicate with the Scout field and Retail Operations team(s) to monitor and understand total demand, mix demand, and sales trends in real time.
Closely partner with Scout Sales and Scout Vehicle Logistics to ensure the smooth flow of vehicles out of the factory yard by ensuring that units are assigned to a customer or destination in a timely manner.
Coordinate with Scout Quality and Outbound Logistics to track and manage the repair and movement of vehicles unable to be shipped due to quality holds or campaigns.
Engage Inside Sales, Scout Digital, Production Steering, and Scout IT to develop, implement and manage any necessary Distribution systems, including a robust order-matching and order-modification process to connect potential customers with existing inventory and near-term build slots.
Support Inside Sales, Digital, Vehicle Logistics, and IT team members to define and stand up a solution to ensure vehicle location and status visibility from the time of manufacture to the time of customer delivery.
Conduct the strategic planning and operational actions necessary to enable Scout distribution in new export markets.
