Responsibilities
Maintain calendar and diary system for necessary filings for the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board and ensure forms and filings are done within filing date.
Assist in the gathering of material requested in subpoenas, medical record documents, QME/AME evaluations, and scheduling depositions and medical evaluations.
Request QME panels using the DWC QME portal.
Prepare and file various pleadings with the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board.
Assist in the appropriate and accurate filings of insurance operations and business matters.
Create exhibits and documents in accordance with the California Workers' Compensation Appeals Board rules and statutes.
Maintain existing systems to provide current and accurate information for the operation of legal department functions.

Required
Three to five years of experience in the Workers' Compensation field or a combination of education and experience.
Experience working with the DWC EAMS system.
Experience working with the DWC QME portal.
Excellent dependability, communication, and professionalism.
Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
Strong oral and written communication skills with emphasis in technical writing.
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Paralegal certificate or completion of a paralegal course preferred.
