Responsibilities
Industry Engagement: Serve as the public face of Agile Six at industry conferences and events, representing the company’s values and mission with authenticity, professionalism, and integrity.
Customer and Partner Development: Build and foster relationships with potential customers and partners, particularly within the VA, CMS, and other federal non-defense agencies, ensuring alignment with Agile Six’s culture, values, and long-term strategic goals.
Opportunity Vetting: Work with the Strategy Team to identify and evaluate potential new business opportunities, ensuring they align with Agile Six’s strategic goals and values.
Strategic Negotiation and Influence: Lead negotiations with partners and clients, influencing and ensuring deals align with our mission of delivering user-centric solutions without compromising our core values.
Market and Competitive Intelligence: Conduct research to monitor industry trends, competitors, and opportunities to enhance Agile Six's strategic positioning.
Proposal and Solution Support: Work closely with the strategy team to support proposal development, contributing to market research, analyzing RFPs, and assisting in crafting compelling proposals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with contracts, finance, and delivery teams to ensure a seamless connection between business development activities and project execution.

Required
Proven experience (7-10+ years) in business development, partnership management, or a similar strategic role within a technology, digital services, or consulting company.
Embody the highest standards of professionalism when representing Agile Six, ensuring all interactions reflect our commitment to integrity and authenticity.
Understanding of how contracts are crafted and awarded at agencies that Agile Six typically works with, including VA and HHS (CMS, CDC).
Strong influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to drive outcomes through relationship-building and persuasive communication.
Deep understanding of market analysis, competitive intelligence, and business strategy within the government or federal services sectors.
Exceptional critical thinking and discernment skills, especially when evaluating potential partnerships and opportunities.
Experience working cross-functionally, collaborating with contracts, finance, and delivery teams to ensure business development efforts align with execution strategies.
Authentic, values-driven approach, with the ability to represent Agile Six’s core values in high-stakes situations.
Willingness to travel regularly within the MD/DC/VA area to attend key industry events and meet partners (travel is anticipated to be approximately 1 day per week of local travel).
Preferred
Previous experience as a federal government employee at VA, CMS, or similar federal organizations is highly preferred.
Familiarity with agile software development practices.
