Responsibilities

The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for the basic process design of unit operations and preparation of engineering deliverables such as documented design basis, process simulation models, block flow diagrams, process flow diagrams, heat and material balances, P&ID development, material selection diagrams/tables, hydraulic calculations, sizing information for process equipment, and design and sizing of safety relief devices. The role also involves interfacing with clients, visiting clients’ facilities, and performing physical work as required.

Required

Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited program

EIT certification desired, PE a plus

5 years minimum experience in the oil & gas or chemical industries

Experience in the design of process equipment (vessels, pumps, exchangers, fired heaters, compressors)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work effectively in teams and to present a positive image to clients

Working knowledge of or familiarity with: HYSYS, AFT Fathom, Visual Flow, Microsoft Office products including MS Project
