Responsibilities

Develop and optimize process designs to improve efficiency, safety, and reliability.
Conduct process simulations and feasibility studies to support project planning and decision-making.
Design and implement innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
Lead and manage process engineering projects from concept through completion.
Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams to resolve process-related issues.
Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective actions to address process failures and improve performance.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Develop and implement process safety management programs to ensure safe and compliant operations.
Conduct hazard analyses and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the organization.
Prepare detailed engineering documents, including process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
Maintain accurate records of project activities, including design changes, test results, and performance data.
Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project status and performance.
Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in process engineering.

Required

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in process engineering within the oil and gas, power generation, or manufacturing industries.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS or equivalent.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse stakeholders.
Leadership Abilities: Proven leadership and project management skills. Ability to guide and mentor junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to make data-driven decisions and develop effective solutions.
Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices in process engineering.
Licensing: Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent is required. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred

Industry Experience: Experience in the oil and gas, power generation, or manufacturing industries.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MATLAB.
Process Improvement: Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Track Record: Demonstrated success in designing and optimizing complex process systems.
