Responsibilities

Maintain the ongoing reliability, performance, management and support of SAP Ariba platform services.

Manage applications and systems, respond to problems and plan for growth.

Execute migration tasks such as change request review, software build coordination, release documentation, production issue resolution and tracking report distribution.

Monitor the performance of system applications and execute contingency plans in case of system outages.

Troubleshoot a wide variety of technical problems and provide Level II support to the Help Desk.

Develop and implement a forward-looking roadmap for SAP Ariba in close partnership with the global procurement team to support business goals.

Lead the administration of SAP Ariba, including user access management, configuration setup, and customization to meet diverse regional requirements.

Engage proactively with global procurement stakeholders to gather insights, prioritize system enhancements, and address cross-functional challenges within SAP Ariba.

Manage the coordination of system upgrades, patches, and integrations with other enterprise applications while ensuring minimal disruption to global operations.

Monitor key performance indicators within SAP Ariba, conduct data analysis, and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement across regions.

Act as a liaison between IT teams, SAP Ariba vendors, and the global procurement team to facilitate effective communication channels and resolve technical issues promptly on a worldwide scale.

Work on multiple, moderate to high complex projects as a project team member and as a technical leader.

Maintain application and Ariba platform health, availability, and stability.

Schedule production release updates and upgrades with the production team.

Support integration of changes in test, pre-production and production environments.

Work with production quality assurance/testing team to ensure appropriate level of testing has been completed prior to implementation of change.

Ensure the performance and reliability of the system or application.

Define procedures and technical design for user access and administration and respond to escalated system problems.

Monitor and maintain a comprehensive set of performance metrics for all system features.

Identify risk levels and recommend and implement corrective/preventive actions.

Maintain history reports, identify and address re-occurring problems.

Develop online help and update systems support help scripts.

Participate in, or may lead, peer knowledge sharing groups.

Counsel users on technology changes that will impact work processes.

Prepare documentation for customer support, such as software configurations and network configurations.

Required

Experience as an SAP Ariba Administrator II or similar role.

Strong understanding of SAP Ariba platform services.

Ability to manage applications and systems effectively.

Experience in responding to problems and planning for growth.

Experience with migration tasks such as change request review, software build coordination, release documentation, production issue resolution, and tracking report distribution.

Ability to understand the business implications of application and system problems.

Experience in monitoring the performance of system applications.

Ability to execute contingency plans in case of system outages.
