Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end design projects for payroll products, from research and ideation to prototyping and delivery.
Design user-friendly experiences for payroll tasks like pay schedules, tax compliance, and reporting.
Conduct research, usability testing, and gather feedback to understand user pain points and improve your designs.
Partner with product managers, engineers, and payroll subject-matter experts to deliver impactful solutions.
Contribute to and maintain design systems that ensure visual and functional consistency across payroll products.
Advocate for the user while balancing technical and business constraints to create designs that drive measurable impact.

Required
5+ years of experience in product design with a strong portfolio showcasing complex, user-centered solutions.
Experience with data-driven tools or workflows (e.g., payroll, finance, HR tech, or similar systems).
Strong UX skills: You’re skilled in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and creating intuitive interfaces.
Proficiency with design tools: Comfortable using Figma (or similar) to produce high-quality designs.
Ability to simplify the complex: You can turn technical, compliance-heavy processes into clear and easy-to-use solutions.
Collaboration and communication: You work well with cross-functional teams and can clearly present and explain design decisions.
Self-motivated and adaptable: You’re proactive, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
Experience designing SaaS platforms for payroll, HRIS, finance, or compliance-related systems.
Familiarity with workforce management tools or employee time tracking.
Understanding of the restaurant industry or other operationally complex businesses.
Understanding of web technologies like HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
