Responsibilities
Work cross-functionally with design, product, engineering, support, GTM, and marketing teams to solve problems for shoppers and merchants
Iterate on existing Bolt products and contribute to defining new opportunity spaces
Partner with Product Managers to identify opportunities and drive product vision
Conduct and execute user research initiatives, sharing findings with product and engineering teams
Design elegant product flows from inception to completion and create prototypes for validation
Provide and receive feedback from other designers to enhance design quality
Elevate the role of design within the company and collaborate with engineering for successful design implementation
Apply systems thinking to solve design challenges at scale

Required
5+ years of experience designing digital products
Business minded product designer with strong fundamentals in both visual design and user experience
Strong sense of ownership and ability to work in vague problem spaces
Comfortable switching between high level vision thinking to hands-on pixel work
Experience working hand in hand with product managers and a proven track record of contributing to team strategy and planning
Excellent written and visual communications skills and the ability to create artifacts (documents, diagrams, hi-fi design specs, presentations, sketches) that clearly communicate design decisions
Ability to digest and compile data in a meaningful way to inform and communicate design research and recommendations to stakeholders
Proficient with Figma and modern design frameworks — We are a design system oriented team and structure our design files as close to code as possible
Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals, including the web rendering layer. You should be able to comfortably communicate with engineers and speak their language, so that you can ensure designs are executed successfully
