Responsibilities
Assist Business Development with sales strategies on individual accounts.
Develop technical responses to NOO ESPC Federal opportunities.
Perform technical assessment and support energy solution development for self-funding sitewide energy efficiency and resilience improvements.
Develop subcontractor relationships in multiple geographies.
Initiate technical scope development to support ECM solution bid packages necessary to meet FAR sourcing requirements.
Coordinate with internal partners in development, project management, and service to deliver satisfactory results to clients.
Identify and analyze opportunities for energy savings and assist in the development of measurement and verification strategies to document energy savings.
Generate facility PA and IGA reports to document scopes of work, energy savings measurement and verification, performance period O&M, and project risks and responsibilities.
Develop OMRR scopes of work to assure equipment availability and energy savings sustainability for the government while growing profitable energy service for Veregy.

Required
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or three+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project development in Federal vertical.
Successful track record in a complex sales or project development environment in the Federal ESPC/UESC market.
Demonstrated proficiency in relationship building, lead generation, navigation of technical and financial obstacles, contracting procedures, and deal closing.
Knowledge of Veregy’s services and processes is required which can be obtained through intellect, technical inclination, and dedication to gain such knowledge.
Knowledge (Intermediate to advanced) of various operating systems, software products (e.g. MS Office, etc.), is required.
Strong understanding of Federal ESPC market and contracting vehicles.
Strong knowledge of FEMP’s M&V guidelines and production of J8 IGA M&V documents.
Strong technical knowledge in key technologies such as lighting, HVAC, central plants, refrigeration, compressed air, and steam systems.
Strong understanding financial modeling deal economics to include the use of DOE Project Builder and enable spreadsheet tools to support production of TO schedules.
Proficiency in development of renewable energy technologies including Solar, Biogas, and Wind.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal team members.
Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time / workload.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, business, professional, and technical documents.
Ability to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and staff.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to present information and respond to questions from management and staff.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to prioritize tasks and tactfully negotiate priority with end users.
Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed.
Valid driver’s license required.
Ability to travel more than 25% of the time is required.
Preferred
Advanced engineering degree preferred, but not required.
