Responsibilities
Autonomously lead projects or product engineering initiatives to drive towards a design that aligns with customer and internal requirements including budgetary considerations.
Perform engineering duties in planning and designing tools, fixtures, machines and other mechanical equipment.
Planning with suppliers and production to meet timeline goals
Research, design, evaluate and develop machines and tools.
Work with power producing as well as power generating equipment
Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products, using drafting tools or computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software
Examine machine failures and locate exact problems. Suggest remedial measures and give repair instructions.
Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions
Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and necessity of modification.
Assist customers in troubleshooting and testing issues.
Assist production in building and testing machines.
Develop components and systems in a CAD environment (SolidWorks and AutoCAD).
Communicate technical details, ideas, and concepts to engineers and non-engineers in multiple locations.

Required
Bachelors Degree in Engineering
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting
SolidWorks PDM and AutoCAD experience
ERP Experience (SysPro and / or Visual Manufacturing Experience is preferred)
Project Management experience
Engineering and Technology Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
Mathematics Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
Design Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Mechanical Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Physics Knowledge and prediction of physical principles, laws, their interrelationships, and applications.
English Language Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language.
Computers and Electronics Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software.
Production and Processing Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Customer and Personal Service Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
Time-management skills Ability to work under tight deadlines and use time efficiently to complete projects on schedule.
External awareness - Develops a broad awareness of information pertaining to the customer and anticipates future opportunities or obstacles.
Impact and influence - Persuades, convinces, or influences others, both internal and external to the company.
Organizational awareness - Able to learn and navigate the culture and relationships at Power Test and to work well with other organizations.

Vital few focus - Ability to prioritize to achieve important goals and objectives.
Preferred
AC Motor and Eddy current technology experience
PMP or other Project Management Certifications
