Responsibilities
Autonomy and Decision Making: Makes decisions on assigned area of responsibility, provides recommendations, and refers exceptions to supervisor.
Coordinates with project QA/QC planning to ensure quality for assigned tasks.
Participates in estimating and change management process, including quantity take-off and review of subcontractor proposals.
Works on site with the project team to monitor crew size, self-perform hours, materials, quantity, and equipment.
Participates in activities such as punch lists, city inspections, safety reviews, quality reviews, and documentation preparation.
Posts drawings and specifications with updated information.
Organizes and participates in various project meetings, preparing and disseminating required documentation.
Coordinates and inspects work, prepares reports including project daily reports, progress reports, manpower, schedules, etc.
Performs job site observations, creates procurement logs, and provides progress updates to the project team.
Oversees project close out, including punch list, manuals, as-built drawings, etc.
Utilizes company best practices and construction techniques.
Builds relationships, develops communication skills with team members, and demonstrates understanding of various functions and roles.
Collaborates, demonstrates teamwork, implements Lean practices, and best practices for self-perform opportunities.
Leads the preparation of estimates, subcontractor selection, purchase orders, project schedule management, and risk analysis.
Coordinates meetings, reviews subcontractor pay applications, understands contract terms, and initiates issue discussions.
Leads project close out, provides training and mentorship, and ensures project quality, costs, and inspections.
Provides training and mentorship to others.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field
3+ years construction experience
Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner
Communications skills, verbal and written
Proficiency in MS Office
Knowledge of organizational structure and available resources
Ability to apply fundamentals of the means and methods of construction management
Knowledge of project processes and how each supports the successful completion of a project
Ability to build relationships with team members that transcend a project
Proficiency in project management and accounting software
Proficiency in required construction technology
Knowledge of Lean process and philosophy
Knowledge of self-perform and labor productivity
Ability to assess and optimize project productivity
Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work
Ability to maximize profitability
Ability to lead teams and achieve production goals
