Responsibilities

Extracts business requirements from relevant sources: documentation, meetings, emails, among others; and to ensure the project documents are updated accordingly

Creates and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts, both manual and automated, and to revise as needed to reflect changing requirements

Reviews deliverables prepared by test team

Follows our project methodology and rigorously enforce project quality standards

Prepares reports, reviews, and quality assurance procedures as needed

Minimizes exposure and risk on project(s)

Ensures project documents are complete, current, reviewed by the appropriate parties, and archived correctly and quickly

Participates in regular status meetings with project team

Keeps the project team informed of changes to the product and testing challenges

Communicates relevant project information to team members, IT App Dev Manager, and relevant stakeholders

Translates business requirements into documented, repeatable test cases

Contributes to developing test cases for user training if required by project implementation

Proactively attempts to resolve issues, and escalate when necessary

Responsible for complying with the client's IT security requirements and policies.

Responsible for safeguarding the client or the client-related IT passwords.

Responsible for notifying the client of any IT security incidents per Human Resources Policy 255 Information Security Incident Management.

Improves process and quality via test and process automation: defining right strategy and technology based on process and architecture assessment by engaging different roles and stakeholders

Deep practical experience with cutting edge tools for Web, Mobile, Desktop, DB and Web-service testing (such as Selenium, Jenkins, and ZaProxy)

Working knowledge of SQL to validate test cases within a SQL database

Experience with testing REST APIs with tools such as Postman

Understanding of and experience with EDI formats such as X12 (837, 999, 277), flat files, delimited files, XML, and JSON

Understands business requirements from documentation, business meetings, emails, and other sources.

Effectively applies our project methodology and enforces project standards

Ensures assigned project documents are accurate, complete, current, and stored appropriately

Must be experienced working on Internet-, Intranet-, and Extranet-based systems, and client/server architectures

Must keep abreast of new and emerging technologies and their potential application in existing business processes and systems

Effectively utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential

Team player to work together in the most efficient manner

Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members

Required

Education - College degree, preferably a B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience performing testing and certification of application and system functionality.

Experience - Ten (10) or more years of work experience in application, functional, or system testing in the IT development/Quality Assurance field; OR any combination of academic education, professional training, or work experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Expert with all aspects of Microsoft technologies and adept with Microsoft Office products.

Required non-technical proficiencies and knowledge - Critical skills include excellent organization, analytical thinking, problem solving, and the ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing; the stamina to work in a fast-paced environment; the flexibility to meet changing needs and multiple tasks; Excellent follow-through skills with strong attention to detail; Adaptive and open to frequent changes in work environment and prioritization; Efficiently able to work independently and as part of a team.

Required technical proficiencies/knowledge - Familiar with using QA tools, writing test plans, test cases, and test scripts, a good understanding of QA methodologies. Familiar with web testing technologies, PC hardware platforms, and MS Operating Systems. Related experience with client/server databases and reporting tools; enhanced knowledge of SQL, database structure, and database design; experience with REST API testing; thorough understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and change management; expert with all aspects of Microsoft Office and other Microsoft products. (InfoPath, Word, Excel, Access, Project, XML, MS SQL Server, SharePoint, VSS, Microsoft Windows); working knowledge of various EDI formats including X12 formats (837, 999, 277); ability to understand and assist with the conversion of business requirements into technical specifications and cross-reference them to test scenarios and test cases; enhanced knowledge of software quality assurance methodology and practice; a good understanding of systems and applications with the ability and desire to learn.
