Responsibilities

Oversees and serves as primary Quality Assurance resource to department supervisors for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting, and continuous improvement.
Supports concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing Quality Assurance and the customer.
Designs and implements methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection.
Maintains a working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9000 quality assurance requirements.
Promotes and executes quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents, and reports.
Assists in process certification.
Reviews customer’s purchase orders, contracts, and change requests and ensures that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans.
Develops, executes, and analyzes quality reporting measures.
Reports to management on quality issues, trends, and losses.
Reviews suppliers' purchase orders and establishes supplier quality requirements.
Participates in internal and external quality audits.
Interfaces with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and assures that effective corrective action is implemented.
May compile, write, and deliver training material on quality standards and activities.
Serves as Quality Assurance representative for ISO and AS9100 auditing standards.
Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate CB policies and procedures.
Assist in maintaining clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas.
Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter, and be detail-oriented.
Other duties as assigned.

Required

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent (or Associate degree in these fields plus minimum four years industrial experience)
Minimum three years supervisory experience in industry
Strong computer skills including QA applications and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and database applications
Diverse knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques and documentation
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering
Supervisory responsibilities experience in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
