Responsibilities

Managing and heading the company’s customer billing and revenue accounting process

Review revenue contracts and support customer service with invoice questions

Maintain revenue recognition policy, processes, and reporting

Reconciliation of bank accounts

Preparation of weekly cash burn

Identifying and driving process improvements within the areas of responsibility

Performs various monthly closing procedures; including journal entries, account reconciliations and preparation of monthly financial reports

Areas of responsibility include UK VAT reporting and rebates and credit memos

Ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables

Ability to work effectively with various departments outside of Finance

Support the annual audit process by preparing revenue related schedules for external auditors

Performs other related duties as required

Required

Solid understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP) relating to revenue recognition

Ability to stay organized and formulate working processes

Self-starter with a high level of accountability and ownership

Effective time management – ability to handle multiple tasks by prioritizing as needed

Agility – being able to adapt quickly to changing needs of the organization

Ability to quickly learn new skills and function at a high level with minimal assistance and supervision

Ability to work effectively with team members at all levels and engage with cross functional staff as needed

Prior NetSuite experience

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Action-oriented, positive attitude and willingness to learn

Experience with revenue recognition accounting

Proficient in Word, Excel and other Microsoft applications

B.S. in Accounting or Finance

Minimum of 4-5 years of total relevant experience with a minimum of 2 years as a senior accountant in a high growth company environment

Preferred

2 years public company accounting background preferred
