Responsibilities
Experience with Safety concepts, standards, and test methods related to Abbott products.
Facilitate systems-level approach to Product Safety compliance for new product development and design changes.
Provide guidance on Product Safety test setup, execution, and troubleshooting.
Participate in UL witness testing and conduct quarterly UL audits for Abbott manufactured products.
Perform EMC/Safety assessments for design changes, create/update laser reports, and assess regulatory impacts on product standards.
Lead projects involving the design, fabrication, and manufacture of complex instrument subassemblies, systems, or processes.
Collaborate across functional areas and maintain test capability by researching required test equipment.
Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system, maintain lab areas, and assist with metrology requirements.
Meet timelines for Product Safety related activities, possess strong organizational, communication, and attention to detail skills.
Travel as necessary for program facilitation or training (5%).
