Responsibilities
Guide and Coach: Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers.
Facilitate Scrum Events: Plan and facilitate Scrum events, ensuring they are productive, time-boxed, and focused on achieving Sprint goals.
Remove Impediments: Proactively identify and address any impediments that hinder the team's progress, escalating issues as needed.
Foster Collaboration: Cultivate a collaborative and self-organizing team environment where individuals feel empowered and supported.
Promote Continuous Improvement: Encourage the team to regularly reflect on their processes and identify areas for improvement through retrospectives.
Support Product: Assist the Product Owner/Manager with backlog management, refinement, and prioritization.
Track Progress: Monitor team progress, velocity, and other key metrics to ensure the project stays on track.
Maintain Documentation: Maintain organized project documentation in Confluence, including Sprint goals, meeting notes, and impediment logs, to ensure information is readily accessible to the team and stakeholders.
Champion Agile: Be a passionate advocate for Agile principles and practices within the team and the wider organization.
Facilitate Team and Program Communication: Support effective communication within and across teams, including activities related to releases, program increment (PI) planning, and cross-team dependencies.

Required
5+ years of experience managing agile IT projects as a Scrum Master
3+ years of government project experience
A Bachelor’s degree or four additional years of experience
JIRA Expertise: Proficiency in using JIRA or similar Agile project management tools.
Experience navigating tools like Slack, Mural, Google Suite, and Confluence
Experience managing large projects and multiple small teams
Efficiency navigating bureaucracy in large organizations
Experience leading Scrum ceremonies and coaching teams on Agile best practices
Experience tracking and reporting on Agile metrics to stakeholders.
Preferred
Certification in agile or Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or other relevant)
SAFe certified. If not certified, a willingness to pursue a certification.
A previous U.S. Government background investigation.
