Responsibilities

Spearhead the monitoring and analysis of threat intelligence sources to identify and mitigate potential security threats and vulnerabilities.

Develop and implement strategies for continuous monitoring systems to ensure real-time awareness of security events and proactively respond to incidents.

Lead efforts to ensure strict adherence to regulatory frameworks such as FedRAMP, PCI, CMMC, HIPAA, and other relevant standards.

Take ownership of developing monthly Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M) reports, providing detailed insights and recommended actions.

Play a key leadership role in incident response activities, including monitoring security alerts, leading response efforts, and ensuring effective resolution.

Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for audits, compliance verification, and proactive security controls monitoring.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement advanced security measures and provide mentorship to junior team members.

Act as a key resource for internal and external stakeholders, offering expert guidance on security best practices and compliance matters.

Lead initiatives to stay at the forefront of industry trends, emerging threats, and changes in compliance standards to ensure ongoing effectiveness.

Required

At least 5 years of experience in a related field, with a focus on threat intelligence, detection, continuous monitoring, and compliance management.

Proven expertise in industry standards such as FedRAMP, PCI, CMMC, and HIPAA.

Strong understanding of security frameworks and regulations.

Demonstrated leadership in incident response activities, with the ability to lead response efforts and ensure effective resolution.

Experience with advanced security tools and technologies, including Elastic, Burp, AWS Inspector, Trend Micro, and Qualys.

Ability to conduct detailed security assessments, risk analyses, and develop actionable insights.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred

Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC).

Considerable experience with threat intelligence platforms.

Knowledge of advanced cloud security principles and practices.

Scripting ability for task automation and efficiency.
