Responsibilities

Backend Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Go, following idiomatic Go practices such as effective Go routines, proper error handling, and package organization. Leverage AWS Lambda for serverless computing, creating functions that respond to events and automatically manage resources. Use Terraform to manage infrastructure as code, ensuring reproducible, scalable, and maintainable environments.

API Design: Design and implement robust APIs using RESTful principles or GraphQL, ensuring they are secure, efficient, and easy to consume by the frontend team. Implement API Gateway for routing, throttling, and securing access to services.

Performance Optimization: Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications by optimizing Go code for efficiency, managing database performance with AWS RDS or DynamoDB, and handling memory management in a serverless environment.

Code Reviews: Conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring high-quality code and providing constructive feedback to team members. Check for idiomatic Go practices, adherence to SOLID principles, and efficient algorithms.

Collaboration: Work closely with the frontend team and stakeholders, ensuring seamless integration of backend services.

Required

Extensive experience in backend development, with a deep understanding of Go, AWS Lambda, Git/Github and Terraform

Proficiency in Go, Git/Github, AWS, CircleCI

Experience with ML Ops and healthcare industry concepts

Comfortable with idiomatic Go practices, serverless computing, and managing infrastructure as code

Experience in designing and implementing robust APIs

Familiarity with clean code principles, SOLID principles, and efficient algorithms

Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with frontend developers and other stakeholders

Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

Passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest in backend technology

Preferred

Familiarity with Python, AI technologies and ML Ops

Understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and familiarity with AWS API Gateway

Experience in performance optimization, including profiling and optimizing Go code, managing database performance with AWS RDS or DynamoDB, and handling memory management in a serverless environment
