Responsibilities
Configure and manage AWS services, including but not limited to: Storage Services: S3, Glacier, EFS, FSx.
Security Services: AWS Security Hub, IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty.
Search Services: Amazon OpenSearch Service (formerly Elasticsearch).
Implement and optimize PostgreSQL databases, ensuring efficient integration with AWS services.
Design and implement RESTful APIs for integration with: AWS search, storage, and security services.
Records management systems.
PostgreSQL for data retrieval and management.
Ensure APIs are optimized for high performance, security, and scalability.
Set up and maintain AWS CI/CD pipelines using services like: CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CloudFormation.
Automate deployment processes to support agile development cycles.
Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL databases for storing and managing metadata and application data.
Optimize database performance, indexing, and query execution.
Implement database backup, recovery, and security best practices.
Work closely with the Solution Architect to translate architectural designs into functional implementations.
Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure APIs and backend services meet application requirements.
Guide junior developers on AWS and PostgreSQL best practices.
Develop cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services and PostgreSQL databases.
Monitor and optimize existing services and solutions for cost efficiency and performance.
Ensure high availability and reliability of the deployed solutions.
Implement security controls for data protection and compliance with records management standards.
Monitor and address vulnerabilities using AWS security tools.

Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
12+ years of experience in software development, with 5+ years in AWS solutions development.
Proven track record of setting up and managing AWS services and developing scalable solutions.
Experience working with PostgreSQL in cloud-based environments.
Expertise in AWS services like S3, Lambda, Security Hub, OpenSearch, KMS, CloudTrail, and GuardDuty.
Strong proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, or Node.js preferred).
Hands-on experience with AWS CI/CD tools (CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, CodeBuild).
Proficient in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL, including database design, query optimization, and integration with AWS.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Preferred
Knowledge of records management systems and metadata management is a plus.
