Responsibilities

Designs, develops, and deploys AWS-based applications, services, and infrastructure to support training and education systems

Collaborates with instructional designers, content creators, and educators to integrate technology into learning environments

Optimizes cloud resources for cost-effectiveness, scalability, and performance

Ensures compliance with security and privacy standards in educational settings

Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues related to training platforms and content delivery

Required

Must be US Citizen able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance (or higher)

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

Minimum Five (5) years of Software Engineering experience

Strong understanding of networking, programming, and cloud-based technology

Familiarity with Linux, Python, Java, and other similar languages

Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure

Infrastructure as Code: Terraform

DevOps and DevSecOps practices

Security and Solution Architecture

Operating Systems: All Microsoft Server and Desktop Operating Systems, Linux (RHEL/CentOS)

Virtualization: VMWare, Vsphere, Citrix XenApp, Hyper-V

Applications/Services: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Exchange, PowerShell, Visio, Project, Jira, GitLab, Confluence

Preferred

AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Technical Professional, AWS TCO and Cloud Economics) is highly desirable

VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) certification

Microsoft Certified IT Professional: Enterprise Administrator (MCITP) certification

Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification

Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification

CompTIA A+ Certification

Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or Educational Technology (EdTech) platforms

Knowledge of serverless architecture, microservices, and containerization (e.g., AWS Lambda, Amazon ECS, Docker)

Familiarity with AWS services such as Amazon S3, Amazon RDS, Amazon EC2, and Amazon CloudFront

Ability to design and implement secure APIs for data exchange between systems

Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for improving educational experiences through technology
