Responsibilities
Design, test, and implement customized code within Cyberlife for life and annuity products
Perform technical and business analysis for written specifications and requirements
Document and share technical requirements and design artifacts
Develop, review and validate calculation models (Excel, VP/MS, etc.)
Use effective influencing skills to share expertise and mentor others
Identify and recommend improvement opportunities in development and test processes
Participate in all phases of implementation for new products on the Cyberlife platform
Support test activities, including the setup and initialization of new environments and the resolution of data, process and application issues as they arise.
Comply with all company policies and procedures
Remain current in profession and industry trends
Successfully complete regulatory and job training requirements
Perform other duties as assigned

Required
Strong Cyberlife product design skills
Expert application development skills: CICS, COBOL, VSAM, Mainframe processing
Strong understanding of VP/MS processing
Knowledge and experience in source code and change management processes
Strong knowledge of insurance products and operations
Proven ability to collaborate, build relationships and resolve conflicts across the organization
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proven analysis, decision making, problem solving, organizational, and planning skills working in an autonomous and proactive manner
Strong communicator and relationship builder with all levels of the organization
Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical audiences
Ability to independently research, identify and resolve complex processing and data issues
Strong business knowledge of Life Insurance and Annuity processing
Ability to make a positive team contribution by learning new skills and suggesting improvements
A team player able to work with others in a highly collaborative environment
Proven knowledge and at least 7-10 years of current hands-on application development supporting Mainframe life insurance applications
Experience working with DXC’s Cyberlife system
Experience working with DXC’s VP/MS software
Experience with Agile software development methodologies, Scrum in particular
Bachelor’s or higher-level degree in Information Technology or related discipline
Preferred
A working knowledge of Java/ACORD/XML/Linux would be a plus
Knowledge of other related DXC products (nbA, Product Accelerator) is a plus
