Responsibilities
Develop and maintain high-performing systems for spam protection using ML/AI algorithms
Design components of large-scale systems
Innovate in architecture design, algorithm development, and data engineering
Lead and mentor junior engineers in the team
Troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments
Automate provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure management
Lead projects, mentor team members, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Recommend alternative approaches to solving complex problems and utilize new technology

Required
BS/MS in Computer Science or related field with a strong understanding of the fundamentals including Data Structures, Algorithms, OS, and Networking
5+ years experience in software development with Java and/or C++
2+ years experience in owning and designing components of large-scale systems
Experience in algorithm design and ML/AI
Experience with public cloud technologies (GCP, AWS)
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments
Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl and or Ruby
Proven ability to lead and mentor junior engineers in the team
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and taking initiatives
Preferred
Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, HBase, and Spark
Previous exposure to anti-spam or anti-abuse engineering
Familiarity with data mining, text processing, and classification algorithms
Proficiency in statistical methods and exploratory data analysis
Ability to balance resources, constraints, requirements, and complexity
Automate the provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, and management of our infrastructure
Lead projects and mentor team members
Participate in agile development with weekly sprints, planning & estimating work, daily standup, & retrospective
Effectively collaborate with other engineers and cross-functional teams
Recommend alternative approaches to solving complex problems and use new technology to achieve goals
