Responsibilities

Take an active role in defining and evolving standard practices and procedures

Define specifications for significant new projects and design and develop software accordingly

Lead efforts in designing and building scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services

Own the complete software development lifecycle from architecture to production

Provide expertise in the development of new products/services/processes and recommend major changes

Influence full system architecture and communicate technical concepts effectively

Required

BS or MS degree in computer science, or equivalent

5+ years of developing and shipping enterprise distributed and/or cloud native systems

Strong grasp of system design fundamentals and distributed systems architectural best practices

Demonstrated ability to write great code in Java, Python, or similar OO languages

Experience with web application development using microservices frameworks such as Helidon, Dropwizard, Spring, etc.

Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)

Demonstrated ability to influence full system architecture

Strong desire to make an impact and thrive in collaborative and energetic environments

Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts verbally and through design aspects
