Responsibilities

Collaborate with product managers, TPMs, and fellow engineers to build software solutions for the shopping experience across all platforms.

Architect, design, and implement highly-performant services enabling Ecommerce funnels.

Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture, design, and code.

Write scalable, performant, and tested code, optimizing performance continuously.

Review code, provide feedback to peers, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Use data for prioritization decisions, thrive in ambiguity, and deliver customer impact.

Exhibit a bias for action, constantly improve performance and customer experience.

Establish strong working relationships across the organization and drive innovation.

Be results-oriented, data-driven, and passionate about building innovative customer experiences.

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent relevant experience

4+ years relevant work experience with building highly performant applications and services. This is in addition to degree/experience requirement above

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like, agile development environment

Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, object-oriented design, and data structures

Strong coding skills (preferably on a *NIX platform)

Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, C#, C++, etc

Demonstrated track record of cultivating strong working relationships and collaborating across multiple teams

Preferred

Deep understanding of Java Spring Boot based architectures

Proficiency in more than one modern programming language

Experience with large-scale, multi-tiered systems and architectures

Experience working on streaming data applications (e.g. Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, or Spark Streaming)
