Responsibilities

Architect and develop new microservices from the ground up, ensuring seamless integration with the existing ecosystem.
Enhance complex processes and systems to increase robustness and reduce dependency on manual intervention.
Design, build, and maintain user experiences for both internal and external customers.
Collaborate closely with engineers and stakeholders to share expertise and foster continuous improvement.
Take ownership of domains within the system, making informed engineering decisions and tradeoffs.
Advocate for and deliver exceptional experiences for users.
Write clean, high-quality code and tests to maintain a fast, reliable, and monitorable system.
Integrate with other systems across the Engineering organization.
Lead and participate in the entire development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and production release.
Contribute to evolving engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

Required

7+ years of experience in software engineering.
Expertise in building scalable backend technologies and scaling database platforms (NoSQL, SQL).
Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations, offering innovative solutions and fresh perspectives.
Strong desire to take ownership of projects end-to-end and balance speed with long-term considerations.
Creative thinking ability and a commitment to knowledge sharing.
Proactive and empathetic mindset, dedicated to solving problems for our customers.

Preferred

Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and microservices in architecting complex SaaS products.
Familiarity with tech stacks like Node.js, React.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, AWS.
Proficiency in TypeScript and working knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Microsoft Azure).
Previous experience in highly regulated industries such as Financial Services or Healthcare.
Self-driven and eager to learn, with proficiency in Git.
