Responsibilities

Design, code, test, and deploy features for our high throughput multi-tenant real-time streaming service.

Breaks down long-term project vision into milestones as part of an overall roadmap.

Review and contribute to the specifications and implementations written by other team members.

Proactively seeks new information and adjust to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance while also driving monitoring improvements and operations at scale.

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred

3+ years of experience developing high scale, distributed systems on a cloud platform.

3+ years of mentoring and coaching other software engineers.

Familiarity with real time data streaming or database technologies like Azure Stream Analytics, Kafka, Flink or SQL.
