Responsibilities

Develop backend systems that integrate with diverse APIs and data sources.
Design and enhance customer-facing APIs to deliver standardized, clean, and flexible data outputs.
Implement workflows using technologies like AWS Step Functions or similar orchestration tools.
Collaborate with data engineering, machine learning, and analytics teams to build scalable, data-driven systems.
Design data models that transform unstructured external data into clean, actionable datasets.
Deploy and manage applications in production environments.

Required

Graduated from one of the following schools: California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, Stanford, Santa Clara, Harvard, Berkeley
5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or software engineering roles.
Proficiency in Python, Golang and SQL.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
Proven ability to deploy and operate software in production environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and debugging skills.
Ability to adapt to evolving business requirements quickly and effectively.

Preferred

Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience in API design and development.
Familiarity with state machine architectures.
Bonus: Experience with Temporal or AWS Step Functions.
