Responsibilities
May serve as the lead architect on projects, vendor work, and similar efforts. Develop, maintain, and review application architecture.
Serve throughout the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in a variety of architecture engagements including Agile and continuous delivery, proof-of-technology.
Coordinate architectural design collaboration for work involving:
Middleware, microservices, and streaming.
Database design principles.
Software development, particularly with current generation front-end and back-end languages.
Cloud and infrastructure principles.
Work with project teams (including users, developers, and vendors), to plan, coordinate, analyze, design, review, and implement application systems/enhancements .
Select and review structural and behavioral elements and their interfaces that compose a solution. Perform composition of these structural and behavioral elements into larger subsystems. architectural documentation.
Develop, maintain, oversee, and review Solution and/or Infrastructure Architecture models, specifications, and other documentation (key written project deliverable).
Apply IT industry best practices.
Participate in Proofs of Concept.
Drive adherence to existing and evolving security requirements to ensure a robust and secure environment.
Drive adherence to technical standards and patterns, application portfolio strategy, and service level agreements.
Partner with other project leadership to identify and mitigate technical risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID).
Identify gaps and opportunities in work to meet corporate goals.
Support pre-project efforts in terms of working with the user, IT delivery, and vendor teams, crafting conceptual solutions, and assisting with delivery time estimates.
Stay on top of technology trends to assist with the development of solutions, integration, workflow, cloud, and infrastructure standards.

Required
Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of progressive experience in a combination of development, design, infrastructure/data center and/or related IT disciplines.
If no degree, 10+ years of progressive experience as stated above.
Experience developing IT solution strategies involving both business and IT interests specifically around the 'Portal Full Tech Stack' solution using Vue, NodeJS, React framework.
Experience with Salesforce administration and development for at least 2+ years.
Experience should include successful leadership of technical work, with proven success in the design and delivery of quality, scalable IT solutions, on budget and in compliance with applicable requirements.
Exposure to multiple, diverse technical integrations, technologies, and processing environments. Specifically, should have working knowledge in each of these categories: Programming languages; database tech; integration tech; infrastructure, cloud, and operating systems; and security. Must have practical leadership experience in at least one of these: Programming, database, or integration.
Experience in solution design principles and practices, system development methodologies, and full software life cycles (inception through adoption).
Visual modeling experience using architecture design notation such as ArchiMate or UML.
Experience coordinating vendor solution delivery and partnering effectively with vendors to meet business needs.
Strong oral/written communication skills to successfully communicate at varied levels within the organization (technical detail with developers through presentations to company leaders, appropriately adjusted for each audience).
Preferred
Prefer candidates with knowledge and understanding of: Health insurance and plan administration and regulatory and legislative impact on health plans, specifically HIPAA requirements placed on cloud tenants.
Programming experience with contemporary languages such as: JavaScript frameworks, Node.js, Java, .NET.
System integration experience applying API and middleware technologies to SOA and OO designs.
Infrastructure Architects: Hands-on experience in cloud native architectures such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, and DevSecOps.
Leadership and work organization/coordination skills.
Strong influencing and consultative skills; and the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues and opportunities.
Experience working effectively with clients to document requirements by conducting interviews and facilitating JAD sessions.
Visual modeling using ArchiMate is a plus.
Prefer a certification in at least one aspect of IT.
