Responsibilities

Under limited supervision, responsible for the finance and controlling functions of a specific site, subsidiary, or satellite office of the company.
Works with and supports Management across the company.
Supports financial analysis, cost accounting & controlling, budgets and forecasts, and other analytic and reporting needs.
Supports general ledger accounting including: creating and posting journal entries, maintaining support schedules, reviewing and reconciling accounts, researching and solving problems, and assisting with audits and taxes.
Helps/backs-up Director, Finance & Controlling, AR & AP Supervisor, etc., as needed.
Ensures the constant monitoring of business results, measures, and projects. Provides data, information, and recommendations in support of sound business decisions.
Ensures compliance with established internal control standards, policies, and procedures.
Performs tasks related to general ledger accounting (journal entries, support schedules, account analyses, postings, and reconciliations, research and problem solving, communications with all levels of organizations and numerous external entities.)
Supports the month-end close process - including the timely preparation and consolidation of all required data, figures, statistics, etc., to prepare all financial statements - based on internal guidelines and external legal regulations – on time and reconciled to sub-ledger accounts.
Performs banking and cash transactions as assigned.
Prepares Royalty reporting for Microsoft/Adobe/McAffee.
Monitors, and enforces controls over employees’ approval limits.
Assists management teams in developing operating budgets based on historical data. Responsible for monitoring and communicating department budgets and identifying opportunities for improvements in costs and efficiencies.
Supports reviews and analyses of actual P&L performance against plan and forecasts future reporting periods.
Provides profitability & financial analysis as directed.
Meets deadlines. Responds promptly to requests from supervisor, and senior management.
Supports tax (income, sales & use, property, etc) and audit (external and internal) requirements.
Backs-up Director Finance & Controlling, Controlling Supervisor, and AR & AP Supervisor when needed.
Works with AR Supervisor on the day to day management and operations of the A/R functional area.
Works with AP Supervisor on the day to day management and operations of the A/P functional area.
Fills-in/supports Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable when called upon.
Follows and supports HR employee programs (performance reviews, motivation, individual development, goal setting, etc.)
Works closely with other department heads to improve inter-department processes.
Works with controllers or finance managers from various Kontron affiliates and related companies.
Communicates issues with KAI, Corporate and affiliated entities’ Management as required.
Supports business reorganizations, and any merger & acquisition requirements as needed.
Performs other related tasks or projects as needed.
Aids in special projects as required.

Required

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting or Finance.
+ 5+ years progressive Accounting and Finance experience.
MS applications (Excel/Word/Outlook/Teams) proficient.
Experience in, and willing to work in, a fast paced, cross-functional team.
Background with high volume, dynamic organizations.
Excellent communication and human interaction skills.
Detail oriented. Problem solver.

Preferred

MBA, CPA, or CMA desirable
Multi-company and/or manufacturing experience preferred.
SAP experience a plus
