Responsibilities

Design, implement, and deliver storage offerings for our GPU cloud

Operate, monitor, and optimize our current storage offerings

Troubleshoot and fix storage issues

Evaluate and work with storage vendors to offer solutions

Work closely with other engineering departments to deliver storage solutions via APIs

Occasional travel to Lambda Datacenters to assist with new installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of storage arrays.

Required

8+ years of experience designing, building, and operating large-scale multi-petabyte storage production environments

A strong understanding of diverse storage solutions and their ecosystems: File, Block, and Object storage systems, Storage Protocols such as NFS, iSCSI, NVMe-oF/TCP, InfiniBand, GPUDirect Storage, NFSoRDMS, parallel file systems, NVMVe, Encryption, storage security, and multi-tenancy strategies, Backup and data protections

5+ years of experience in Python or GoLang

5+ years of experience in Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)

Preferred

Experience with Kubernetes, including CSI and CNI’s

Strong understanding of public cloud features (e.g., SDN, block storage, distributed file systems, identity management)

Experience deploying, operating, and maintaining Ceph

Have implemented either open-source or commercial monitoring solutions of storage and storage-adjacent solutions
