Responsibilities

Provide design, production and coordination of construction plans and drawings in support of bridge and transportation structure project(s).

Provide conceptual and final design of bridges and other transportation structures, roadway alignments, and miscellaneous structures as required by the project scope.

Read and interpret survey data, government standards and codes, and apply to design.

Develop and lay out conceptual designs for proposals to be reviewed by senior technical professional or project manager for conformance with specifications and client requirements.

Develop and lay out final plan designs on assigned project or portions of projects.

Develop sections of projects or details for construction projects.

May prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates and permit applications.

Maintain good knowledge of governmental regulations, codes and ordinances and apply them to plans, as needed.

Perform such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

Required

10+ years' experience as a detailer (progressive drafting and design experience).

Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD required.

Experience utilizing CAD: MicroStation, 3D Open Bridge, Civil 3D, BIM and/or Revit is a plus.

Solid oral and written communications skills.
