Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for migrating from an existing EHR system to a new Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model.
Perform data assessment, cleansing, and mapping to ensure compatibility with the new system.
Document all phases of the migration, including working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand business needs.
Design and implement workflows to ensure seamless integration and optimal functionality.
Ensure migration compliance with industry standards and regulations such as HIPAA.
Establish protocols for data integrity, privacy, and compliance, and ensure validation and auditing post-migration.
Conduct unit testing, develop test scenarios, manage testing processes, and debug issues to ensure system reliability and functionality.
Regularly update stakeholders on migration progress through status reports, presentations, and ticketing systems.
Prepare project documentation and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Provide strategic oversight and support post-migration, including end-user training and system documentation.
Recommend strategies for system optimization based on user feedback and performance metrics.

Required

7+ years of experience in database management and data migration, particularly in healthcare EHR systems.
Utilizing SQL databases (Informix, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server) and scripting to facilitate data migration.
Documenting business processes, collecting data, and analyzing system usability.
Business analysis, including requirements gathering, evaluating operational procedures, and identifying automation or system improvement solutions.
Problem-solving complex data-related issues using robust analytical techniques.
Preparing specifications for data input/output processes.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Leading teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
Understanding of IT industry trends and emerging technologies.

Preferred

2+ years of experience in SaaS model EHR systems and cloud-based data migrations.
Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and associated templates.
Regulatory compliance, specifically healthcare data security.
