Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain back-end systems and APIs primarily using Python, ensuring high performance and scalability.
Collaborate with front-end and data teams to deliver seamless integrations and end-to-end features.
Solve complex problems in Python and related back-end technologies, focusing on data processing, API development, and system architecture.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure code quality and maintainability.
Research and recommend new tools, frameworks, and processes to improve backend efficiency and developer productivity.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to a collaborative, growth-oriented engineering culture.

Required

5+ years of experience as a backend software engineer or in a related role.
Proficiency in Python and familiarity with its common frameworks (e.g., Flask, FastAPI, Django).
Basic knowledge or interest in learning TypeScript and Node.js.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, database design (SQL/NoSQL), and system performance optimization.
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Kubernetes.
Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure best practices.
Experience with writing unit and integration tests for backend systems.
Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Excellent analytical aptitude.
Ability to quickly master a variety of software platforms.
Highly organized and the ability to multitask.
Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented and deadline-oriented environment.

Preferred

Knowledge of AWS Lambda and Serverless Framework is a plus, with a willingness to learn if no prior experience exists.
