Responsibilities
Serve as the appointed Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for all environments, coordinating and performing cybersecurity efforts including scanning, remediation, developing Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs), and patching.
Coordinate certification and accreditation using the RMF process or other DoD-identified processes for the enterprise hardware environments, maintaining required artifacts.
Develop and implement architectures for applications, security, Backup, Archival and Restoral (BAR), and workload management.
Perform weekly Backup, Archival and Restoral (BAR) tasks to ensure data integrity and availability.
Oversee and/or perform scheduled maintenance on the EDW/BI development, test, production, and disaster recovery environments.
Conduct proactive systems monitoring and tuning on the test, production, and disaster recovery environments to ensure optimal performance.
Create and maintain applicable logging and reporting templates using DeCA’s enterprise management logging tool. Monitor daily and weekly audit logging for environments, resolving any findings, and reporting findings and resolutions to the customer.
Provide operational support and problem resolution, interacting with IT staff, vendors, and subject matter experts.
Coordinate and perform restoration of files and troubleshoot problems, ensuring prompt resolution.
Coordinate the installation and maintenance of security patches, third-party vendor software and hardware, disk space management, backups, and file restoration.
Maintain availability of assigned services and participate in resolving helpdesk issues by consulting with relevant subject matter experts.
Communicate effectively at all levels of management, peers, and customers through clear written and oral expression of thoughts.

Required
Security+ certification is required.
National Agency Check Legal and Credit (NACLC) or Secret clearance is required.
Proven experience in systems administration, cybersecurity, and operational support in enterprise environments.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze system problems and recommend effective solutions.
Proficient in coordinating and managing cybersecurity efforts, including scanning, remediation, and patching.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining required artifacts for certification and accreditation.
Ability to develop and implement architectures for applications, security, and workload management.
Experience in Backup, Archival, and Restoral (BAR) processes and tasks.
Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
Industry certifications such as Microsoft MSCA, MCSE, Cisco CCN, Linux +, Sun Certified SCNA, among others.
