Responsibilities

Managing multiple projects, setting stakeholder expectations, and collaborating across various teams

Applying business and technical skills to analyze, identify, design, implement and develop support processes to resolve business & operational issues

Assisting in the development of an EHS DNS strategy that aligns with Akamai's business objectives.

Remaining knowledgeable of trends and advancements to assess the feasibility of implementing new services, systems, and technologies

Providing on-going engineering and Tier3 support of DNS environments globally (specifically- VMware, Azure, AWS, Linode, OpenShift)

Evaluating, designing, and implementing tools to improve the life cycle management of the DNS and other OS

Using system resource utilization and monitoring tools to identify potential problem areas before they result in incidents

Required

5 or more years experience as an IaaS Engineer and a Bachelors Degree

Demonstrate experience working with virtual environments, clustering technologies and database systems

Demonstrate knowledge working with cloud and system access and monitoring

Have advanced familiarity with most operating system commands/utilities on Windows and/or Linux

Have 2+ years of cloud storage experience

Have Advanced understanding of TCP/IP routing, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and high availability networking
