Senior Technical Architect - Full Stack AWS Leader

Responsibilities
Act as a Technology Leader by planning, advising, and providing internal consulting services to develop and apply technology solutions that align with business goals and objectives.
Own and aggressively drive forward specific areas of technology architecture. Provide architectural solutions/designs to project execution teams for implementation.
Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to verify and validate feasibility of design pattern of new architectures and solutions. Instruct development teams on best practices of implementing the PoC.
Work closely with the Principal Engineer to understand enterprise/portfolio standards applicable.
Create low-level designs using accepted design principles on approved platforms as reviewed by Principal Engineer.
Work closely with the Principal Engineer to set standards for code reviews and framework for technical oversight of solutions.
Lead and support multiple Agile Scrum development teams with planning, scoping and creation of technical solutions for the new product capabilities, through to continuous delivery to production. Perform technical oversight of the solutions vendor teams.
Drive common vision, practices and capabilities across teams.
Maintain awareness of technical competencies of the development team members and work with members to improve the close gaps in knowledge and the way of thinking.
Mentor and provide architectural guidance to multiple teams building innovative applications.
Ensure that the solution design and implementation complies with latest security guidelines and work to resolve issues flagged in security scans.
Lead teams in resolution of P1/P2 outages for a prompt service restoration. Lead problem investigations and implementation of recommendations/learnings that follow.
Liaise with offshore team and clients for resolving technical dependencies, issues, and risks.

Required
Minimum 10+ years of demonstrated functional work experience in software engineering and architect roles in multi-year projects involving large scale system development.
At least 5 years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture and architectural frameworks.
Fluent and current on architecture trends with an eye on market/technical conditions and future direction.
Demonstrated functional work experience with Java, NodeJS, AngularUI, GraphQL, Web Services (SOAP and REST), WebLogic, JBOSS.
Demonstrated functional work experience with AWS Cloud technologies: serverless (Lambda), NoSQL, Containers, Quicksight, Athena, Redshift.
Demonstrated work experience with development using low code/no code platforms, preferably Pega and Mendix.
Demonstrated experience with DevOps methodology, pipeline tools, and the Scrum framework.
Demonstrated experience with data analytics products like Microsoft PowerBI, AWS Quicksight and Tableau.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional), Certified Developer (Professional) and/or other related AWS Professional level technical certifications.
Leadership and team management experience with ability to provide strategic planning and oversight.
Experience in complete project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
Knowledge and experience in developing software using agile methodologies.
Proven track record of technical leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes.
Skilled in building relationships with clients and in practice development activities.
Demonstrated success in performing work and managing complex and/or large consulting projects.
Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing off-shore teams.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent professional work experience.
Must be open to travel.
