Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain physical and soft phone infrastructure for field offices, professional support centers (PSC’s), and remote staff.

Configuration of expansion offices (De Novos)

Implement and support IVR (Interactive Voice Response) and AI telephony solutions to enhance customer interaction and operational efficiency.

Manage RingCentral UCaaS platform ensuring optimal performance to meet communication needs.

Assist with the integration of telecom systems with existing IT infrastructure and business applications.

Highly accountable to oneself, to team members, and to clients.

Ticket management in TAG’s Service Now environment

Support in the consolidation of disparate systems

Assist in developing and executing telecommunication strategies that align with organizational goals and business operations.

Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, such as IVR and AI, to enhance telecom capabilities and efficiency.

Identify, and automate or operationalize routine needs to the TAG Service Desk

Collaborate with vendors to support the implementation and troubleshooting of telecom systems.

Assist with telecom budgeting, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource optimization.

Ensure that telecom systems, including IVR and AI solutions, adhere to industry security standards and regulatory requirements.

Implement technical measures to protect telecom infrastructure from threats and ensure data integrity.

Support telecom projects involving IVR and AI solutions, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget.

Collaborate with internal teams to define project objectives and technical deliverables.

Identify opportunities for optimizing telecom processes and implementing technology enhancements.

Promote innovation and automation to improve telecom system performance and efficiency.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in telecommunication systems engineering, with strong technical expertise in cloud-based UCaaS, VoIP and SIP. Ring Central and 8X8 experience desired.

Understanding of required network protocols required to maintain VoIP physical endpoints.

Extensive knowledge of physical and soft phone infrastructure, IVR systems, and AI telephony UCaaS solutions.CCaaS experience

Experience in managing and supporting telecom infrastructure across multiple locations.

Experience integrating new capabilities onto Ring Central’s UCaaS platform

Strong technical troubleshooting skills, with a hands-on approach.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Familiarity with cloud-based telecom solutions and their integration with IT systems.

Ability to learn new technologies as required

Preferred

Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or similar.

Experience with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.

Experience in a similar engineering role within a multi-location organization.
