Responsibilities

A variety of city-level urban planning projects and related terminology (e.g. zoning restrictions/requirements, levels of service for traffic, Vehicle Miles Traveled, various modes of transportation including but not limited to rail, mass, vehicular, pedestrian, truck, etc.)
Independently collect, assimilate and manage project-related data
Prepare constraints mapping and determining required documentation
Assist in preparation and participation in public information meetings and hearings
Perform complex assignments, making independent decisions on problems and methods

Required

Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, or closely related field
A minimum of 7 years’ experience in planning and design
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
Extensive graphics and report document production experience
Experience with useful/efficient GIS report generation
Strong oral and written communication skills
Project management skills and ability to work in a team environment
A proactive and positive approach to working on risk management
Civil Engineering PE License in California
Having previous experience in remote work and a dedicated home office setup
