Responsibilities
Lead the development of user experience strategies and design solutions to meet project and customer requirements.
Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand user needs and behaviors.
Design wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and mockups to effectively communicate design ideas.
Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to ensure designs align with project goals and technical requirements.
Apply human-centered design principles to improve the usability and accessibility of applications and systems.
Develop and maintain design documentation, including style guides, design systems, and user experience specifications.
Iterate on designs based on feedback and usability test results, ensuring continuous improvement and refinement.
Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508, WCAG) and user interface (UI) best practices.
Provide mentorship and leadership to junior UX designers and team members.
Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies to drive innovation and improve design processes.

Required
Bachelor's Degree in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, or a related technical field; Associate's degree and 4 years of experience; 8 years of experience in lieu of degree to meet education requirement
7+ years of experience in UX design, user research, and prototyping.
Strong proficiency with UX design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or Axure.
Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and applying human-centered design principles.
Demonstrated ability to design and implement responsive and accessible interfaces.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Strong understanding of web accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508, WCAG 2.1).
