Responsibilities

Maintain and deploy the Proton Therapy System (PTS) for various customer needs, including QA, Development, Software/Hardware Testing, Troubleshooting, and Experimentation.

Troubleshoot PTS equipment including electrical, mechanical, and software problems.

Perform maintenance of the PTS including routine preventative maintenance, system upgrades, and corrective maintenance.

Perform system inspections and communicate the system's status to leadership and IBA employees.

Provide support to PTS Hardware and Software testing.

Support daily clinical operations for customer clinical staff.

Maintain records as defined by the customer and Site Manager.

Support the PTS in all phases including unit testing, integration testing, validation testing, and other site-related activities.

Perform other related duties as required.

Required

BS in Engineering, Physics or other applicable field, or a High School diploma or Associate’s Degree with 3 years of relevant work experience

3+ years' experience in electrical/mechanical system repair, troubleshooting, maintenance of large integrated systems

Good manual dexterity and ability to work with tools

Preferred

Experience with several of the following: Cyclotrons, Electronics, Mechanical Systems, Software Analysis, X-Ray Systems, Positioning Equipment, Cooling Systems, Vacuum Systems, PLC’s (Siemens), Regulation Loops, Drivers, Sensors, Electric Motors, Radars, High Voltage Equipment, Power Supplies, Proton Therapy Systems, etc.

Solid general knowledge of/experience with - MS Suite: Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, Teams, etc.

Knowledge of local EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) regulations

Basic knowledge of LINUX systems, SAP, Siemens Step 7, and/or Service Max is a plus
