Responsibilities

Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including development of field service resources and continuous improvement of processes.
Provide interface support and advice between services CMU OTR teams and field services teams to define and control the FSE scope of work.
Provide on-site support where necessary to assist in customer interface, especially during an end of phase process.
Develop / improve procedures for sitework phases of upgrades.
Follow-up on CMUs to ensure that quality standards have been met.
Provide technical assistance to fleet support functions as required.
Provide mentorship for new field service personnel.
Interprets trends in post-delivery engineering support and recommends focus areas to improve products, processes or services.
Uses technical knowledge and best judgment to make decisions to manage complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering.
Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders.
Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations.
Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

Required

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university or college (or High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 10 years experience of working with Power Conversion products in a marine and/or industry segment)
Minimum of 8 years experience in a technical support role supporting power conversion products (power systems, control & automation, variable speed motor applications).

Preferred

Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
Established project management skills.
