Responsibilities
Configure and enhance ServiceNow ITOM applications, especially Discovery, Event Management, CMDB, ACC, and Service Mapping using out-of-box functionality as a strong guiding principle.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and validate requirements, and provide solutions that align with the business objectives and ServiceNow platform strategy.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the performance, functionality, and security of ServiceNow ITOM applications, modules, and MID servers, as well as implement preventive measures to avoid future incidents.
Incorporate the latest updates and features of ServiceNow into the existing and new ITOM solutions, following ServiceNow best practices and standards.
Document the design, development, testing, and deployment processes for ServiceNow ITOM applications and modules, and maintain the configuration management and version control of the code and scripts.
Provide design, planning, development, testing, and implementation support for ServiceNow ITOM applications.
Advise where out-of-box functionality can achieve a desired outcome in lieu of customization. Provide feedback to stakeholders regarding solutions that align with designed ServiceNow capabilities.
Review existing implementations and provide recommendations and support for design changes to enhance platform operations and performance.

Required
Bachelors degree from a recognized college or university with major course work in computer science, Information Technology, engineering, or equivalent related experience
At least 5 years of experience in developing solutions on the ServiceNow platform, with broad exposure to ITOM applications including Discovery, Event Management, CMDB, Agent Client Collector, and Service Mapping OR 7 years of experience without a degree
Experience with creating, configuring, and customizing patterns, Discovery Schedules, probe, sensors and Event rules, as well as MID Server management
Familiar with scripting technology such as JavaScript, PowerShell, Perl, wmi, ssh, python, Xpath, SNMP
Experience integrating ServiceNow ITOM modules with enterprise monitoring tools, automation of alerts, and application management tools using OOB plugins and API methods
Experience using CSDM concepts to mature enterprise service mapping and CMDB relationships
Ability to lead, engage and mentor others to achieve a very high level of application systems availability and integration
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
A strong team player and collaborator mindset, with a willingness to mentor as well as learn from others
Preferred
Prefer CSA (Certified System Administrator) or CIS in Discovery, Event Mgmt, Cloud Mgmt, Service Mapping
Prefer proficiency in at least two scripting languages used currently in production
