Responsibilities

Maintain the WB’s HF database, including the IMF WEO, WHO GHED, and WB WDI.

Add the OECD’s Creditor Reporting System and World Bank’s Government Health Budgets and Spending Database to WB HF DB; harmonize across datasets.

Ensure data transparency and quality through comprehensive documentation and validation checks.

Collaborate in the formulation of analysis plans, ensuring that the methodologies are sound and aligned with specified objectives; includes literature review to identify or refine methodologies.

Conduct data analysis, including descriptive statistics, regression analysis, and other advanced statistical analysis.

Conduct a review of the existing data visualization platform and support the platform’s revamp / upgrade (if needed).

Produce high-quality visualizations for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Create tables and figures to communicate findings to internal and external audiences.

Assist in creation of reports, briefs, notes, and presentations, including independently drafting select sections.

Support in organization of dissemination events.

Required

Master’s or doctorate degree in economics, statistics, or related fields.

Demonstrated experience and proficiency in data management, analysis, and visualization.

Experience with one or more of the following (or related) datasets: IMF World Economic Outlook, WHO Global Health Expenditure Database, OECD’s Creditor Reporting System.

Excellent proficiency in the use of Stata or similar packages (R or Tableau).

Ability to summarize analysis and visualizations into short notes and presentations.

English required; knowledge of Spanish, French and Portuguese is a plus.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
