Responsibilities
The PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) Developer plays a crucial role in managing the entire lifecycle of a product, from its inception to disposal. Responsibilities associated with this role include:
Understanding Functional Specifications: PLM Developers analyze functional specifications that describe the expected PLM solution. They ensure a clear understanding of the requirements before proceeding with development.
Customization and Integration: Designing and implementing specific customizations for PLM systems, both on the front-end and back-end. Creating interfaces between information systems.
Data Migration: Implementing migration tools to load legacy data into the PLM system. This involves transferring existing product data seamlessly.
Automation: Developing scripts to automate functional and non-regression testing. Automation helps ensure the reliability and efficiency of PLM processes.
PLM Developers contribute significantly to streamlining product development and management processes across the enterprise.

Required
Bachelor's Degree in Business or IT related field with ten (10) or more years of experience in software development. A Master's Degree and 8+ years of experience may be substituted.
Must possess an Interim or Active Secret Clearance or be able to obtain one quickly.

Proficiency in languages commonly used in data center environments such as Python, Java, C++, or others depending on the specific technology stack.
Deep understanding of data center architectures, infrastructure components, virtualization technologies, networking protocols, storage systems, and cloud platforms.
Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management systems and their integration with data center infrastructure. This includes understanding the data model, APIs, and customization capabilities of PLM platforms.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, PowerShell) and automation tools to streamline migration processes, automate repetitive tasks, and ensure consistency.
Knowledge of security protocols, encryption standards, and compliance requirements to ensure data protection during migration and in the new data center environment.
Preferred
Expertise in planning and executing data center migrations, including risk assessment, capacity planning, and downtime mitigation strategies.
