Responsibilities

Primarily requires development of requirements and technical review of design packages as well as occasional design work

Prepare design packages for renovation projects such as roof replacements, building reconfigurations, additions, or adjustments

Conduct technical reviews of design packages to assess compliance with building codes and regulations

Provide technical input to proposal development for renovation projects

Support design process from concept through delivery of completed design package

Prepare technical memoranda/reports summarizing information such as requirements or basis of design

Collaborate and communicate effectively with other stakeholders internal and external to the design team

Serve as a project manager and/or design manager on assigned projects

Prepare fact sheets, structural analysis, investigative and observation reporting for facilities

Support modernization of facilities in compliance with codes

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Minimum of 8 years experience required

Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred, but not required

Proficient at completing facility design services and supporting the review of designs for compliance with code and energetic manufacturing processes to help our client realize state-of-the-art facilities through construction and commissioning

Experience reviewing facility designs for compliance with processes and permitting those designs through construction

Experience evaluating operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies

Experience designing and maintaining the physical infrastructure of a lab environment

Knowledge of civil and environmental compliance within an energetic manufacturing environment, including completing facility design services

Knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC), Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), NFPA, ANSI, ASCE, and civil and environmental systems industry standards

Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance; Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations
