Responsibilities

Assist Plant Manager in preparing annual budgets and scheduling plant activities
Ensure safety at the power plant level
Oversee day-to-day plant activities
Manage site personnel, contractors, and scheduled activities
Enforce company policies and procedures
Create Purchase Requests, Work Orders, and maintain the maintenance management system
Communicate status updates effectively
Handle plant reporting and customer relations
Approve Timecards when applicable
Coordinate with Inventory personnel for plant supplies
Perform required inspections, operation, and maintenance
Follow plant budget and perform cost benefit analysis
Participate in an On-Call 24/7/365 rotating schedule
Assist with construction activities, quality control, and inspections
Manage hazardous waste disposal and tracking
Achieve Qualified Electrical Worker Level Two Status within one year
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Complete all required training and skill verifications
Travel as needed (10%-20% of the time)
Troubleshoot solar and balance of plant issues
Control inventory and manage high voltage systems
Utilize Windows office software and personal computers
Demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Work well under pressure and oversee multiple tasks
Lead and manage multiple teams of technicians and contractors
Apply intermediate math skills

Required

Minimum 3 years of relevant solar and or BESS industry experience with minimal 1 year of leadership experience
Must have a safety mindset and be able to ensure a safe working environment for those employed at the plant
Mechanical, Electrical engineering, trade school degree / certificate is a plus or related experience
Successful completion of all training, education courses and/or skill level testing required by the Company for entry into this position
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to read and understand schematics, prints, and diagrams
High attention to detail and situational awareness
Strong analytical capabilities and information analysis abilities
Problem-solving skills being able to identify problems and recommend solutions to remedy issues
Demonstrated use of initiative, common-sense approach
Ability to work well under pressure while overseeing multiple tasks simultaneously
Leadership and management ability a must managing multiple teams of technicians and various contractors on the project
Intermediate math skills

Preferred

Experience working with PV and BESS is preferred
Solar and balance of plant troubleshooting expertise preferred
High voltage switching, troubleshooting, and repair experience preferred
Inventory control experience preferred
Intermediate skills working with Windows office software’s in previous related experience, and/or as the Company may determine to be an appropriate skill level
Proficient in use of personal computers (i.e., Windows environment, word processing and spreadsheet applications)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Achieve Qualified Electrical Worker Level Two Status within one year of employment by completing the required training and task verifications
Willingness to travel, expectation is that this position may travel away from base location 10% - 20% of time
Assist with construction activities, quality control, documentation, work oversite and inspections
Manage the proper disposal of hazardous waste and tracking requirements
Follows all regulatory requirements and complete required regulatory training
Physical Demands: Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull, carry items up to 50 lbs. in weight
Comfort entering confined spaces
Able to work in demanding physical and inclement weather conditions
Position will require sitting or standing for long periods of time
