Responsibilities

Collaborate with software engineers to identify and address software bugs and performance improvements.

Design, build, deploy, and maintain a custom infrastructure deployment model with bare metal servers and cloud providers.

Automate processes to enable scalable infrastructure.

Participate in on-call rotation and improve incident response.

Analyze and resolve issues across infrastructure and platform services.

Required

Ability to design and implement scalable and well-tested solutions with a focus on Kubernetes and Terraform deployments

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, and Kubernetes

Experience with various cloud provider managed services, especially AWS

Solid understanding of Unix/Linux systems, kernel, system libraries, file systems, and general Linux administrative knowledge

Knowledge of standard network protocols such as IPv4, IPv6, TCP, UDP, DNS, HTTP, TLS

Ability to communicate and document complicated topics in concise and consumable language

Strong sense of ownership, drive, and dedicated attention to detail

Dedication to excellence in both operations and development

Preferred

Enjoy writing high-quality code in Python, Go, or similar programming languages
